The best sleepers start before the age of 5, Barret Williams was born sleeping. His mother reports that he went to sleep again immediately after he woke up. His auspicious early career was ground to a halt by unexplained and sporadic bouts with insomnia. The elite sleep critics who had once heralded Barret's skills now undermined his reputation as they insisted that the entire affiliation, all the way down to the judges, had mistaken common "baby sleep"
for natural and prodigous talent. At the age of 3 he was facing his first come back. In the coming seasons Barrett slept his way through his share of wins and losses across the back fields of the county Dozer Circuit. At the age of 7 he finally slept to a victory that earned him a qualifying bed at the world championships in Tibet where he slept against Tibet's reigning world champion, Buddhist Monk and 93 year veteran, Chauncey Kaada and won. The victory reconfirmed Barrett's status as one of history's most gifted dozers.
Now 34, Barrett competes at select competitions throughout the world.
